Background: As level of industrialization in Turkey continues to increase, consequentially number of employees in industry sector and occupational accidents (OA) incidents also increase. Employees with life-long infection of Latent toxoplasmosis (LT) have a higher risk of experiencing OA since LT causes slower reaction response due to higher reaction times. This study focused on workers in Kayseri who had OA, to determine the prevalence of LT among subjects. \nMethods: A total of 300 man workers, aged between 20 and 48 years (mean: 32.2±5.5), living in Kayseri, were included in the study group. The control group was also consisted 100 men, works in the same business, in same age group and who had newer an OA. ELISA was used to investigate sero-positivity rate for anti-Toxoplasma IgG antibodies.\nResults: The sero-prevalance in study group (32 %) was found to be higher than control group (21 %) with statistically significance, (X2= 4.385, p<0.05).\nConclusion: In conclusion, latent toxoplasmosis might be an increased risk for OA. Hence, LT should be one of criteria to be considered, while preparing work environment and precautions to decrease risk of OA.

Most experts believe the social responsibility costs are met in a short term; however, its merits stand for a much longer time. Indeed, social responsibility brings the firms the hope for a sustainable long-term competitive advantage on their investments. Relying on what the managers of stock companies viewed, the present study aimed at investigating the relationship between different dimensions of social responsibility (i.e. working conditions, environment, business behavior, society and local community, and corporate governance) and corporate profitability. The population of the study, then, included all managers in the stock companies in Tehran from among which 381 persons were chosen as the sample using Morgan table. The study was done during fall in 2014, and the library method and standard questionnaire distribution were used was used to gather the data. Correlation test, multiple regression analysis and Friedman test were also performed to test the research hypotheses. The results revealed no significant relationship between corporate social responsibility as well as each one of its dimensions and its profitability in Tehran\'s stocks.

This study aimed at finding out the best predictors of the potentials for problem-solving for university students through working memory (visual-spatial sketchpad and phonological loop) and self-efficacy. The sample of the study included (165) university students who are studying at the college of education at Jeddah University. Results of this study have shown that approximately (37.3%) of the discrepancy on the variable of the potentials for solving the problems may be interpreted. That happens if we get to know the visual-spatial component, phonological component, and self-efficacy. The study concluded that working memory and self-efficacy play a crucial role in improving the potentials for Problem-solving.

This study was carried out in order to investigate the relationships between the different factors affecting happiness, which underlies most human actions and creations in every country, and to put forward policy implications whereby each country may raise the level of its happiness. WHI (World Happiness Index) score, which was made by UN, was selected as an indicator representing the happiness level of 19 OECD countries, and this included a number of independent variables affecting happiness, such as per capita GDP, perception of personal responsibility, income inequality, total welfare expenditure as a percentage of GDP, and national competitiveness. We employed the QCA (Qualitative Comparative Analysis) method to analyze the complex causal relationships among the factors affecting happiness. The research results show that there are two significant combinations of variables affecting happiness. Model 1 is a configuration of four variables (high gdp, high perception of personal responsibility, low welfare expenditure as a percentage of GDP, and high national competitiveness) and includes Australia, Canada, Switzerland, and USA. Model 2 is a configuration of five variables (high gdp, high perception of personal responsibility, low gini, high welfare expenditure as a percentage of GDP, and low national competitiveness) and includes New Zealand. Finally, the study suggests that each country should endeavor to enhance its own happiness level, considering how the factors associated with this relate to each other and the socio-economic conditions of each country.

There is a high incidence of mammary infections among females who attend the emergency or surgical outdoors. We have been interested to determine the clinico-epidemiology, microbiological profile and a convenient therapeutic attitude for them. This study was applied to all patients with mammary infections, ultrasound guided drainage was done for abscesses of limited size. If the abscesses were bigger or when image guided aspiration was not effective, they were considered for operative intervention.

A microbiological study of the Atoyac River’s water was done. This River goes through two main municipalities located in the micro-basin from the State Reserve Sierra del Tentzo in Puebla, México: Atoyatempan and Molcaxac. The total and fecal coliforms number was determined and the genus and species of enterobacteria were identified in 5 recollection stations along the River, which were selected depending on the inhabitant’s use of water such as human consumption, farming and recreation. The number of total and fecal coliforms was determined by the Most Probable Number (MPN) method and the values were used as pollution rates. Some species from the Enterobacteriaceae family were identified through the standardized system API20E (1, 2, and 3). The microbiological analysis showed the registered values within a year in 5 recollection stations surpass the Maximum Allowed Limits (MAL) of the MPN units, in accordance with the NOM-127-SSA1-1994 Mexican Norm. Nineteen species from the Enterobacteriaceae family were identified and showed a high level of enterobacterial contamination due to sewage discharges from nearby towns to the study area.

The purpose of this study is to explore factors affecting Job burnout among Coaches board sports in Province Khorasan Razavi. The regularities of gloss changes of Pokostivskiy granodiorite depending on polishing time with the chrome and aluminum oxides were established, as well as the time of marginal gloss gaining. The study showed that different types of Pokostivskiy granodiorite have different values of gloss with the same texture finishing. The influence of chemical impregnating means on the quality indicators of stone surface was determined, and the effectiveness of their influence dependence on the type of the stone.

This study aims to develop a mathematical model in estimating compensation rate for crop damage due to flood. Under the probability concept, flood damaged crops including variables such as future price and of crop yield average are evaluated and used in calculating insurance premium of a product. The appropriate values can be estimated from utility where farmers would obtain from production of horticultural, agronomic or rice crops. Basically, the utility will be increased in response with flood risk areas assessed by fuzzy set. In this study, flood damaged crops in Thailand during 2007 to 2011 have been assessed by interviewing 7,669 families from the total 388,391 flooded victim families. The results indicated that insurance premium price is direct risk variation, that is the province with high flood risk will face high insurance premium rate. However, the premium and compensation rate must be corresponding with cost of production, and, to cover low-income farmers, subsidy from government is necessary.

Abstract \n\nIn this study the European monetary system is questioned and the impact of the single currency on trade is researched. Theoretical and practical application of the currency area is also questioned. The crucial question concentrates on the burden of the Euro. Does a single currency contribute to the member countries trade capacity or not? \nIn many studies it is shown that the contribution of the single currency on countries’ budget and trade is questionable. In this study the Eurozone countries’ trade capacity and budgetary changes are considered between 2000 and 2013. The aim is to show the impact of the single currency on parameters (such as GDP, trade capacity, export, import, trade balance, current account and central bank reserves) after a country joins the Euro zone.

Ranking fuzzy numbers has firmly established itself on decision-making, optimization, forecasting and some other fuzzy application systems. To date, substantial body of research on fuzzy numbers studies has been proposed to deal with ranking fuzzy numbers. However, the effectiveness of the previous studies on ranking indices is still unsubstantiated. To fulfill the purpose of the study, the primary objective of the present study was to explore a new ranking index based on α-cuts in order to rank variety of fuzzy numbers. Moreover, the present study compares the proposed definition with some of the known ones. Finally, the findings are discussed as far as numerical examples followed by implementing the research study.

Separation of aromatic hydrocarbons was achieved using parent, thermally and hydrothermally treated silica samples as solid stationary phases in gas chromatography. These silica samples were characterized by studying their polarity, selectivity and separation efficiencies. This study assesses the outer silica surface contributions and the degree of surface deactivation brought about by thermally and hydrothermally treatments. The parent silica elutes the aromatic hydrocarbons with good separation. The calcined silica at 500 oC has a pronounced effect on the separation of aromatic hydrocarbons compared with the calcined silica at 1000 oC and hydrothermal treatment of silica. The purpose of this work is the modification of silica gel through thermal and hydrothermal treatment individually and in combination to produce various silica surface modifiers as solid stationary phases in gas chromatography and study their application for separating aromatic hydrocarbons.

The importance of bank deposits in supplying the liquidity of producing entities is clear to everyone. As the contact point of deposit holders and producers, banks have many programs to attract the investors’ maximum deposits. One of these programs is to design a model of finding the goals of bank deposits. Many guidelines and models mostly emphasizing on the quantitative variables have been introduced in this regard. One latest tool to find the model of attracting deposits is the Adaptive Neuro-Fuzzy Inferential Sensor Model. It is a combination of theories corresponding to fuzzy logic and neural networks which have been recently introduced to the human sciences including financial and banking management. To using fuzzy logic, the membership function should be initially defined. There is now no specific index defining the membership function. Presenting a method to grade membership functions and define the deposit associated membership function, we also introduce a model for finding deposits they can be attracted by each branch based on variables affecting them. This research shows the direct effect of input variables on deposits regarding indices such as environment, financial markets and etc.

Utilizing a multiwell plate cytotoxic assay, two non small cell carcinoma cell line (NSCLC) human carcinoma cell lines, H-1299 and H-157 were tested against eight antineoplastic agents alone and in combination with ascorbic acid (AA). In these cell lines, it was observed that a moderately cytotoxic concentration of AA (2mM) improved the cytotoxic activity of antitumor drugs. Dose dependent response curves were drawn to calculate the LD50 values of the drugs for both cell lines. Percent Cell inhibition of the drug in the presence of 2mM AA was determined in two combinations. In the first combination the concentration of the taken equal toits LD50 value whereas in the second combination it was 2mM. It was observed that combination effects between AA and drugs were partly synergistic and a consistent synergism was found between AA and all drugs for both cell lines. The only exception was that of Bleomycin which exhibited an antagonistic effect with AA in H-157 cell line.

Resumen: Objetivo. Determinar los factores implicados en el riesgo de exposición a plaguicidas derivado de la actividad laboral agrícola para evidenciar la falta de medidas de seguridad así como la necesidad de estrategias y políticas públicas efectivas para prevenir efectos adversos. Metodología. Se diseñó un estudio exploratorio-cualitativo en 51 personas de 6 localidades de Mixquiahuala, desde la fenomenología-etnometodología por entrevistas a profundidad para análisis del discurso de informantes clave. Se identificó comercios de agroquímicos al lado de tiendas de abarrotes y de comida corrida. Resultados. La dimensión “Gobierno” denota mejorar condiciones de desarrollo del campo, conocimiento y experiencia respecto al uso y manejo de plaguicidas, búsqueda de apoyos Estatales y Federales. La dimensión “Agricultura” la experiencia en manejo de sus cultivos, temporadas de cultivo y la dimensión “plaguicidas” profundiza en el uso de estos, beneficios observados, medidas de seguridad y experiencias negativas por exposición a estas sustancias. Conclusión. La exposición a plaguicidas en la zona, se relaciona con escasa conciencia social sobre los daños de dicha exposición, deficiente conocimiento a pesar de tener experiencias propias o de personas cercanas de intoxicación y muerte, nula accesibilidad a equipos de seguridad para preparación, mezcla y aplicación de éstos productos, deficiente instrucción.

The aim of this study was to compare the personality traits in normal and deaf and blind students in the academic year 2012-13 in Yasouj. This study was causal- comparative and the population consisted of 20 blind students ( 10 girls and 10 boys ) and 20 deaf students ( 10 girls and 10 boys ) and 20 normal students ( 10 girls and 10 boys ) were selected and deaf and normal groups with respect to age, sex, years of education and socioeconomic and cultural status groups were matched. The NEO Personality Inventory was used to assess personality traits. The data were examined by SPSS software with using descriptive and inferential statistics. The results indicate that by considering the components of be conscientiousness of the personality trait between normal, blind, and deaf students, there is no significant difference, but, there is significant difference between the adaptive component of the personality traits in normal, blind, and deaf students, that this difference is in favor of the deaf group.

In Korea, a policy of encouraging the production and distribution of local food has been implemented in order to resolve the problems rural societies are facing. The policy has focused not only on ensuring profits for farmers, but also on recovering the communal character of rural areas and restoring their living foundations. Wanju-gun (similar in size to a US county) in Jeollabuk-do Province is today regarded as one of the most successful examples in terms of policy implementation and achievement. Wanju has been supporting local food as a core business, and is launching various activities such as reforming local farming toward a small quantity batch production system, revitalizing farmers’ education, and opening up direct local food markets. Against this background, this study aims to identify the success factors of the local food movement in Wanju-gun, and to discuss measures for spreading this movement further. Data on the area of Wanju, homepage websites and news reports were employed to analyze the success factors of Wanju’s local food movement.
