Product assortment deals with the problem of determining types, number and inventory level of product to be kept from a given product line in order to maximize sales or gross margin subject to various constraints. Increasing variety in customer needs raise number of products offered and enhance the importance of problem. Companies are launching new products depending on customer needs in order to gain competitive advantage and sustain their market share. Increasing product portfolio complicates the relation between consumer and product; harden to manage products; increase production and quality costs; decrease customer satisfaction and accuracy in purchasing decision. Evaluation product number and adding upper product limit is becoming an important need. Companies are heading to optimize product number which maximizes customer satisfaction and profit. In this study, we review the work published on product assortment literature from 1990 to today. We realize that customer product relations have great importance in attribute based selection and right product assortment. Besides, we classify optimization problems depending on demand model, objective function and analyzed attributes. Within this study, we recognize that there is space to study sustainability issues in product assortment literature.

In this paper, the authors explore how different generations perceive technological innovations. In a sample of 1388 subjects six strata were tested: Primary students, secondary students, high school students (294), younger parents, older parents, and pensioners (294). The findings show that there is no difference between older and younger respondents in terms of negative emotions with regard to changes, but there are differences in positive emotions because younger respondents express a higher level of positive emotions in relation to the elderly. In addition, research has affected five variables related towards attitudes of contemporary technological changes: action commitment, assessment of quality of the changes, knowledge of the changes, positive valuation of changes and the usage of technology. For all these variables, younger respondents expressed a higher level of attitude commitment. If we enroll technology and modern machines in our humanly goals, we will be freer in execution and achievement of the objectives for the future, as technology arrives quickly and without question enters into the daily life of man. In this study it was found that action commitment is a key predictor of positive emotions in younger as well as in older respondents.
Background: Pulmonary disfunction caused by cardiopulmonary by-pass, increases early morbidity and mortality in mitral valve operations, particularly in cases with high right side pressures. Ultrafiltration is suggested as a solution to avoid pulmonary disfunction. The aim of this study is to evaluate the effect of conventional ultrafiltration that is applied during cardiopulmonary by-pass, to postoperative pulmonary functions, hemodynamics, morbidity and mortality.\n\nMethods: Forty patients, underwent mitral valve operation with high pulmonary artery and pulmonary capillary wedge pressures (PAP>50mmHg, PCWP>15mmHg) were divided into two groups. In study group, conventional ultrafiltration was applied at the end of cardiopulmonary by-pass. Pulmonary artery, central venous, peak inspiration, positive end-expiratory and pulmonary capillary wedge pressures, tidal volume, cardiac index and blood gases were measured at the end of the operation and then. Preoperative and postoperative pulmonary compliance, ventilation index were calculated. The changes of these values, complete blood count and biochemical parameters at the postoperative 2nd hour were compared. Postoperative use of inotrops and blood products, bleeding, intubation time, intensive care unit and hospital stays, mortality and morbidity were evaluated. \n\nResults: No early postoperative mortality was present in both groups. Intubation time, intensive care unit and hospital stays were significantly shorter in study group. Hematocrit and white blood cells were higher in the study group at the postoperative 2nd hour. Bleeding and use of blood products and inotrops were less than the control group. Increase percentage of pulmonary compliance was higher in study group. No specific complication due to conventional ultrafiltration was determined.\n\nConclusions: Conventional ultrafiltration during cardiopulmonary by-pass, in high right side pressure mitral valve operations has positive effects on pulmonary compliance, intubation time, bleeding, use of inotrops, morbidity, intensive care unit and hospital stays. These results can be support with studies including larger series and routine use of conventional ultrafiltration is suggested as an easy and cost-effective method.

Principles and Applications of Financial Reporting Standards 1 is an introductory advanced financial reporting course for new accounting undergraduates without prior exposure to accounting courses. It is a core subject and can be considered as a challenging course due to high withdrawal and failure rate in the past. With recent cut in the contact hours from 4 hours to 3 hours per week, there are concerns among the academics that it will further worsen the weak performances. The purpose of this study is to examine the effect of class duration per week on student performance in financial reporting course. The samples were the undergraduate students who sat for Principles and Applications of Financial Reporting Standards 1 from all UiTM campuses provided by Infotek, UiTM. Based on the sample of 3615 students, the study found that there is a significant different in the performance between 3 hours class per week vs that of the 4 hours per week. The effect size however is relatively moderate which suggest that it is not economical to extend the course weekly contact hour.

In this paper, we consider new weak and strong forms of β- irresolute and β-closed maps via the concept of generalized β-closed sets, which we call ap-β- irresolute maps, ap-β-closed maps, contra-β-irresolute maps, perfectly β-irresolute maps and contra M-β-closed maps and study some of their basic properties. We construct a new group of maps from a topological space onto itself say β c-homeomorphisms (resp. contra β c-homeomorphism, perfectly β c-homeomorphism, β-homeomorphism) and investigate some of its properties. Keywords and phrases. g β- closed sets, ap-β-irresolute maps, ap-β-closed maps, contra-β-irresolute maps, perfectly β-irresolute maps, contra M-β-closed maps.
The aim of this paper is to present the notion of relatively almost pcontinuity and p ∗ -continuity and we obtain some decomposition theorems of p-continuity by proving that, 1. A function f : X → Y is p-continuous if and only if it is almost p-continuous and relatively almost p-continuous, 2. A function f : X → Y is p-continuous if and only if it is almost p-continuous and p ∗ -continuous. Keywords and phrases. p-continuous, almost p-continuous, p ∗ -continuous, relatively almost p-continuous.
As the requirement for compactness and low power consumption of electronic products continuously increases, IC processes inevitably develop towards densification of high capacity, narrow line width, high frequency, low energy consumption, and multi-function integration. Therefore, under the high-level requirements of large I/O number, high heat sinking, and package downsizing of IC packaging technology, further development of the 3D IC technology is the inevitable trend of semiconductor packaging. The capability of IC packaging technology has become the key factor in IC design and manufacturing processes. As the selections of IC package types consider many key factors (purpose, specification, and process), it is difficult to evaluate packaging types suitable for IC design requirements. Therefore, the major challenge to current IC design engineers is how to provide IC designers with real-time IC product packaging technique related data in order to rapidly select the optimum package type, thus, reducing cost and design cycles. \nPrincipal Component Analysis (PCA) and the Adaptive Network Fuzzy Inference System (ANFIS) are used in this study to construct an IC packaging database prediction model, where the collected eight IC packaging product families (TFBGA, LGA, PBGA, FCBGA, QFP, QFN, FCLGA, SOP) are classified, with 66 package product data and 2968 datasets. The database contains 15 characteristic variables and 1 categorical variable. The findings show that in the classification of 8 IC packaging product families, the test set has the maximum classification accuracy rate of 0.9966. During classification, the actual value of the IC packaging database prediction model is compared with estimated value according to the accuracy rate of experimental results, which show that it is feasible to use this prediction model for inference. It can respond correctly and rapidly to IC designers with relevant product information, thus, increasing personnel operating efficiency, reducing labor costs, and shortening product design development time.
Abstract\n\nThis study was planned and orginized to find out the the relations between facebook using knowledge/Information, attitude and behaviors according to the variables of the number of facebook friends and the preffered communication form. Nowadays it is known from the experienced social life activities well how the common social influence of social sharing web sites are effective and widespread. It has been followed from some news published in written and visual media that it causes very important damages about behaviors and attitudes for individuals. It is not possible for people to limit using time and necessity of facebook but it forces their education, learning borders and capacities. General acceptance and refusing areas were mixed and not having sharing dominant effects. The limitlesness of social deterioration were supported by the social sharing web sites. But on the other hand it mustn’t be thought that the social saring web sites have only negative influences but also it may have some positive influences too. For example, these web sites encourages everybody to develop the conscious of democracy and humanrights and to have more freedom. But the problem is when and the more important one where to stop. One of the most important influences of social sharing web sites for people to serve not only their expectations but also their nonexpectations. The basing ifluence is not related to the accepted expectations it depends on nonaccepted nonwaited expectations. The data of this study were collected by a questionnaire and the data collected by the questionnaire were evaluated and commanded by eligible statistical methods such as mean and significant levels. In the first chapter of the study the area study was done and given some conceptual and theorical information by means of scanning model. In the second chapter, the aim, problem position, the importance, limitations, conjectures, problem question, research method, research world and sampling group of the study were explained and given information about. In the third chapter, the data handed were analyzed by using necessary statistical methods for example; mean and significant’s mening level. In the last chapter, some important and necessary comments and suggestions were given and presented depending on the data of the research.
OBJECTIVE:\nTo study the expression of CD117, c-erbB-2 and its relationship with cell proliferation in lip, tongue and lung squamous cell carcinomas.\nMethod: Expression of CD117 and c-erbB-2 were detected with immunohistochemical staining in 20 lip, 2 tongue and 14 lung squamous cell carcinomas samples.\nRESULT: Significant differences were found between genders for localizations. Soil is said to be a natural body consisting of layers of mineral constituents of variable thickness which differ from the parent materials in their morphological, physical, chemical and mineralogical characteristics.Road failure could be defined as a discontinuity in a road network resulting in cracks otherwise known as dislocation, potholes, bulges and depression.Areas before and after the main entrance to the university showed that the failure was wide spread with failure which include potholes, visible cracks and bulges. The study area is located between longitude 3054\' and latitude 6055\',where the geophysical survey is being carried out at different locations along Ijesha road to OlabisiOnabanjo University highway in Ago Iwoye in Ogun state,Nigeria, where there were observed road failures. This research therefore aimed at accessing the soil properties of the study area to ascertain if poor soil properties are responsible for the failed parts of the road. Therefore,it is important that materials that conform to specification are used in the construction of the road pavement
